He was married to Mary Brotherton (daughter of Edward Brotherton and Mary Unknown) after 1721 in Accomack County, Va.. Southey (Beverly ?) Rew I and Mary Brotherton had the following children:

16 i. Southey Rew Jr. died about 1741 in Accomack County, Va..
17 ii. Solomon Rew was born before 1745. He died in 1755 in North Carolina.
18 iii. Comfort Rew was born before 1745.
19 iv. Mary Rew was born before 1745.
20 v. Thomas Rew was born before 1745. He died after 1770 in North Carolina (?).
+21 vi. Beverly Rew.
22 vii. Euphamey Rew was born before 1745.
+23 viii. Southey Rew II.
