5. Jacob Edwards was born in 1760 in Accomack County, Va.. He died in 1837 in North Carolina.

He was married to Elizabeth Belote (daughter of William Belote and Unknown). Elizabeth Belote was born before 1770 in Accomack County, Va.. She died after 1834 in North Carolina. Jacob Edwards and Elizabeth Belote had the following children:

22 i. Sacker Edwards was born in 1784 in Accomack County, Va.. He died before 26 Sep 1825 in Accomack County, Va..
23 ii. Major Edwards was born in 1789 in Accomack County, Va.. He died young in Accomack County, Va..
24 iii. John B. Edwards was born in 1794 in Accomack County, Va..
+25 iv. Sallie Edwards.
+26 v. Nancy Edwards.
27 vi. William Edwards died young.
