22. General John Cropper Jr. was born on 23 Dec 1755 in Accomack County, Va.. He died on 15 Jan 1821 in Accomack County, Va.. He served in the military in Revolutionary War. He was holder of many military grades including captain through genral in Revolutionary War. He was holder of many offices such as sheriff, Va. Senator, friend of Geo. Washington and Lafayette in Revolutionary War.

He was married to Margaret Pettit (daughter of William Pettit II and Mary B. Parramore) on 15 Aug 1776 in Accomack County, Va.. Margaret Pettit was born on 12 Apr 1752 in Accomack County, Va.. She died on 3 Jun 1781 in Accomack County, Va.. General John Cropper Jr. and Margaret Pettit had the following children:

He was married to Catherine Bayley (daughter of Thomas Bayley and Anne Drummond) on 18 Sep 1790 in Accomack County, Va.. Catherine Bayley was born on 24 Jan 1772 in Accomack County, Va.. She died on 24 Jan 1855 in Accomack County, Va.. General John Cropper Jr. and Catherine Bayley had the following children:
