He was married to Margaret Wilkins Wheeler (daughter of Thomas A. Wheeler and Agnes S. Wilkins) on 10 Dec 1832 in Northampton County, Va.. Margaret Wilkins Wheeler was born on 22 May 1814. She died on 22 Dec 1901. William Henderson Core and Margaret Wilkins Wheeler had the following children:

91 i. William Thomas Core was born on 21 Oct 1833 in Northampton County, Va.. He died on 20 Jun 1921.
92 ii. Margaret Agnes Core was born on 10 Sep 1836. She died on 28 Sep 1841.
93 iii. John H. Core was born on 1 Mar 1841 in Northampton County, Va.. He was twin to James.
94 iv. James C. Core was born on 1 Mar 1841. He died on 6 Nov 1921. He was twin to John.
95 v. Bove D. Core was born on 4 Mar 1844.
96 vi. Unnamed Child Core was born on 21 Jul 1846. He died on 28 Jul 1846.
97 vii. Margaret A. Core was born on 10 Aug 1847. She died on 7 Feb 1918.
