  	In 1728 Daniel Watson left his part of this tract to a son Daniel, but he disappears from the record, and the ultimate history of the land in uncertain. Young Daniel had a sister Susannah, who may have married Henry Hickman and inherited upon the death of her brother, as in 1745 Henry Hickman, wife Susanna, sold 37 acres to Arthur Watson and 9 years later he resold to Samuel and Jonas Benson. Then in 1766 Henry and Custis Hickman sold another 37 acres to John Stringer and 2 years later he resold to Jonathan Addison, who accumulated more land in this vicinity and in 1790 he (wife Comfort) left his plantation to a son John.

  	In 1746 Henry Hickman joined Solomon Gladding and James Ewell in selling Nicholas Powell 250 acres of land near the head of Hunting Creek for 75 pounds, 10 shillings. The deeds states that his land, called Brickhouse, belonged to a James Ewell, the grandfather of the James Ewell who was selling his 1/3 interest. This leads to the conclusion that Henry Hickman's wife was Susannah Ewell, who died between 1745 and 1746. (NOTE: Carey shows James Ewell was the grandfather of the James Ewell selling the land and Whitelaw shows he was the father.)
