  	In his will Henry Hickman, wife no name, sons Henry, George & Edward & and grandson Richard. He also mentioned 4 sons & 3 daughters, but did not name them. John would have been the 4th son.

  	On 20 Aug 1738 when Henry Hickman made his will he did not mention his inherited land (A115) nor a son John who was his heir-at-law, although he did mention his other sons Henry, George & Edward; as the heir-at-law John was not found, Henrys widow Elizabeth was given administration of the estate. However, in 1748 the local court certified to the General Court a deed for his 135 acres which John Hickman of North Carolina had sold to John Nelson. In 1757 Nelson gave it to his son John, saying it was where John Jr. was then living, and in 1765 John and Mary Nelson sold to Benjamin Hickman Jr. and 6 years later he and his wife Sophia sold to George Abbott. In 1772 he and his wife Sarah sold to Richard Hickman, son of Richard, who in 1787 (wife Anne) left to his son Hampton. In 1797 he died intestate and in 1810 his land was surveyed for a division among his sons Kendall, Richard and William; it contained 59 1/2 acres from A114 and 155 1/2 acres from A115, which were below the Benjamin Hickman part along the western bounds.
