  	Whereas John Seaverne Chirurgion made it appear to this Court that 300 acres is due for his personal adventure and for the transportation of the following: Bridgett Seaverne, John Seaverne Junior, William Stephens, Abraham Merifeild and John Pott.

  	The deposition of John Seaverne, Chirurgion, had and taken in open court, saith that Liveing Denwood being at his house they being at prayers, said unto Seaverne, country man, how long have you learned this of my neighbor Traviler, and concerning that the said Traviler was a hypocrite, the said Denwood delivered some words to that purpose. The deposition of John Pott had and taken in open court, saith that Liveing Denwood being at his brothers (meaning brother-in-law) Mr. John Seavernes house all night, the said Seaverne went to prayers and the said Denwood asked him if he had learned to pray of this neighbor Travile. It was so ordered by the court that Liveing Denwood shall ask George Traviler forgiveness in open court for some scandalous words which he the said Denwood have raised upon the said Traveler and he is to pay 5 shillings which is to be disposed of by the Vestry and to pay all charges of court.

  	He was shown as John Severne, chirurgion. Admtr: (Capt.) Bridges Freeman. John Pott by deed of gift gave a cow calf to his nephew Peter Severne the younger son of the dec'd to be delivered to Bridget his mother and the widow of the dec'd. If Peter died under 21, then his brother John to have the calf. His inventory and appraisal by Jonathan Gills and Thomas Gaskins. (Note: Thomas Severne is of Limehouse in the County of Middlesex in England)

  	The deposition of Capt. William Roper, taken in open court, saith that John Severne died desire this deponent to bear witness that he was to give to his brother (meaning brother-in-law) John Pott one bed and one suit of clothes and all accounts to be cleared between them both which was in full satisfaction for his services and labor spent in the said Severnes employment. Whereas it appears to the court by the affidavit of Capt. William Roper, high sheriff for Northampton County, that the state of John Severne, Chirurgion, dec'd, do owe and stand indebted unto John Pott for his wages, one bed and suit of apparel. Whereas if also appears by sufficient testimony that the said estate does owe and stand indebted unto the said John Pott, 800 lbs tobacco for a steer killed at the funeral of the said Severne. It is therefore ordered by this Court that Humphrey Price, attorney of Capt. Bridges Freeman, Admr of the said estate, shall in the first place satisfy and pay the said bed and suit of apparel unto the said John Pott being his wages, and also 800 lbs tobacco for funeral charges.
