- Thomas Riley and wife Elizabeth (attorney: Littleton Dennis) complained against Ezekiel Young, Thomas Wise with wife Wise (sic), Thomas Young, John Young (both minor orphans of John Young), John Only, Elizth Only and Tabitha Only (Charles Bagwell representing the last five). Ordered that Smith Snead, John Snead, Thomas Custis and Spencer Drumond (or three of them) divide the slaves mentioned in the bill and report next court. On 28 June 1758 it was recorded that in Thomas Riley with wife Elizabeth vs Ezekiel Young, Thomas Wise with wife Wise, Thomas Young, John Young, John Onley, Elizabeth Onley and Tabitha Onley, the slaves mentioned in the bill were distributed as follows: To Thos Wise and wife Wise – Negro Robin (worth £15) and to pay £3:15:00 each to the Rileys, Ezekiel and Smith Onley’s children. To Ezekiel Young – a Negro girl called Dilly (£15) and to pay £3 each to the Rileys, Onley children, John Young’s children and the Wises. To Thos Riley and wife – a Negro woman called Hannah (£35) and to pay £7 each to Ezekiel, the Wises, the Onley children and John Young’s children. To John Young’s children – £10. To Smith Onley’s children – £13:15:00. Costs were equally shared. Signed by Thos Custis, Spencer Drumond and Smith Snead.
