Samuel Williams and Peggy his wife and Adam Burris against Nathaniel Burris. William Jarvis, Southey Goffigon and John Goffigon were ordered to divide Lewis, Amy, Zilla, Betty and Bell; to Samuel Williams and his wife in right of said wife 1/3, to Adam Burris and Nathaniel Burris 1/3 each.

In obedience to an order of the worshipful court of the County of Northampton dated January 13, 1817 we the subscribers have divided the slaves belonging to the heirs of Anthony Burris deceased as therein directed as follows.
To Samuel S. Williams; Lewis $75, Betty $400 = $475 to pay $33.33 = $441.66
To Nathl Burris; Amy $50, Sillah $400 = $450 to pay $8.33 = $441.66
To Adam Burris; Bill $400 to receive $41.66 = $441.66
Given under our hands this 17th day of February 1817.

Written: May 20, 1835
As soon as may be after my decease I desire that my executors make sale of the perishable part of my property with any other of my estate real or personal or both after collecting the debts due me & to sell on such terms as they may judge most conducive to the interest of my family.
I give to my dear wife Mary A. Burris. I lend her during her natural life (in lieu of dower in my slaves) the following ones to wit: Old Jacob, Beck, Lucy, Daniel & Spencer. I nominate & appoint my friends John & Jas Goffigon Senr my executors. I desire that they may exercise their own discretion in the disposition of my property real & personal in time & manner so as to raise funds to pay my debts & when that is done that they make division equal between all my children.
