  	It was in this year that a patent was granted to Thomas Wyatt for 400 acres of tract N69 (just north of Bridgetown). Shortly there after Wyatt assigned his land to Richard Smith, he to Michael Rickards and he to Elias Hartree. Then in 1642 a patent was issued to James Perenne for 400 acres which were given the samed bounds as the land previously granted to Wyatt. James Perrin sold half of his land with the houses to Elias Hartrit. Then in 1647 commissioners were appointed to divide his land between Elias Hartree and William Parry. In 1652 a patent was issued to Elias Hartree for 200 acres which was the southern part of the tract, on the head branch of Hungars Creek. Then in 1664 a patent was issued to Hartree for 600 acres, 200 said to have been assigned by Wyatt and 400 by Perenne. It was reissued the next year. In 1669 a patent was issued to Colonel William Kendall and Captain William Spencer for the 600 acres formerly granted to Hartree and escheated. (NOTE: Hartree died in 1665 and his wife Jane in 1666.)

  	On 9 Oct 1644 in the will of Mathew Pett it was noted that my son's portion already disposed of by deed of gift into the hands of Elias Hartrit. John Little, Nicholas Granger and Elias Hartrit also witnessed this will.

  	On 10 Feb 1646 the estate of James Perreene, planter, at Nuswattocks formerly belonging to the dec'd was now to be divided by William Parrey and Eias Hartree.

  	He was shown as Elias Hartree, age 40, when he gave a deposition in Nov 1648, which puts his birth at 1608.

  	It was in this year that a patent on tract N67 (between Bridgetown and Marionville) was granted to Michael Richetts for 200 acres. A few years later an undated patent was issued to Thomas Boutracie, stating that Ricketts had assigned to Elias Hartree, be back to Ricketts, and then he to Boutracie.
