- In his will John Savage gave to his wife the best bed, the chest called hers and her riding horse and saddle. To son Charles (under 18) plantation where I now live, 2 guns and set of wedges. To daughter Patience Savage (under age 21) a great trunk, bed and trundle bed with a blue rug, English oval table, one chest and various items of pewter. To daughter Mary Savage (under age 21), my chest, one Virginia oval table, a bed and various items of pewter. Balance of estate to wife during her widow. Overseers Francis Savage & John Savage. Should all my children die whole estate to Francis & John Savage & should either of them die without heirs their estate equally to be given to Rowland Savage, son of Robert(sic) (Richard) Savage, & Richard Savage, son of Richard Savage, but if the said Francis Savage should die without heirs then his part to fall to his brother Richard, and if John should die without heirs his part to be his brother Rowland's.
