Mary Burrous the widow of said Anthony Burrous her dower slaves assigned her; Lewis, Amey, Betty and Procilla. William Burrous; a boy James, paying L12.10.0 Adam Burrous; a Negro girl Jenney and to receive L7.10.0 Peggy Burrous; John and Rachel with paying L.21.0 Nathaniel Burrous; boy Sam with paying L7.10.0 In obedience to a decree of the worshipful Court of Northampton County, we have divided the slaves therein mentioned belonging to Anthony Burrous’ heirs. Nathaniel Goffigon and Azariah Goffigon Recorded on January 11, 1802.

  	Northampton County Order Book 36 page 93 January 13, 1817 Samuel Williams and Peggy his wife and Adam Burris against Nathaniel Burris.  William Jarvis, Southey Goffigon and John Goffigon were ordered to divide Lewis, Amy, Zilla, Betty and Bell; to Samuel Williams and his wife in right of said wife 1/3, to Adam Burris and Nathaniel Burris 1/3 each. Northampton County Will Book 34 page 391 Division of Slaves In obedience to an order of the worshipful court of the County of Northampton dated January 13, 1817 we the subscribers have divided the slaves belonging to the heirs of Anthony Burris deceased as therein directed as follows. To Samuel S. Williams; Lewis $75, Betty $400 = $475 to pay $33.33 = $441.66 To Nathl Burris; Amy $50, Sillah $400 = $450 to pay $8.33 = $441.66 To Adam Burris; Bill $400 to receive $41.66 = $441.66 Given under our hands this 17th day of February 1817.
