- It was in this year that Berry Floyd bought 150 acres of the Major Joynes part of tract N128 (which is east of Exmore and north of Willis Wharf) from John Eshon. Then in 1750 he left to his son-in-law John Savage, until a granddaughter Esther Savage married or became 21. In 1761 Savage released it to John and Esther (Savage) Custis and 2 years later they sold it to Moses Kellum.

- In Jun 1743 it was recorded in N'hamp Co that Benjamin Floyd accepts credit for 11 bu corn, cakes and beans as well as for making 4 pairs of shoes and mending a pair for the debt owed by John Henderson for land rent. The balance due Floyd was £1.19.8

- To my nephew Berry Floyd 100 A. on Hog Island on the north side of my land, in consideration of 100 A. (also on the island) conveyed by my brother Matthew Floyd to Thomas Bell. To my son in law John Savage the use of all my lands (excepting the 100 A.), and also the slaves Matt, Venus, Daniel, and Rachel during his life. To my granddau. Esther Savage the 150 A. plantation whereon I now dwell, and ns. Peter and Leah. To my granddau. Sarah Savage the remainder of my Hog Island land, and slaves Bristol and Dublin and the child that Venus now goes with. If my granddaus. Esther and Sarah Savage die under 21, then the land I now live on to my nephew Matthew Floyd son of Matthew Floyd, and my Hog Island land to Berry Floyd son of Matthew. My two granddaus. Esther and Sarah Savage resid. legatees, but if they die under 21 then remaining estate to the five children of my brother Matthew, viz., Charles, Matthew, Berry, Sarah and Mary. Son in law John Savage extr. Witt: John Joyne, John Henderson, William Joyne.

- In Sept 1757 it was recorded in N'hamp Co that on the complaint of Easland Joyne, admx of Edmund Joyne and Comfort Henderson, extrx of John Henderson it is shown that in their lifetime the said Edmund and John became bound as securities for John Savage for his faithful administration of the estate of Berry Floyd as by his will dated 11 Dec 1750. The petitioners fear that they are in danger of suffering damage. The Sheriff of Acc Co is ordered to have the said John Savage appear. Case determined.
