- In his will Thomas Parramore Senr deviseed to son John Custis Parramore & his heirs forever, the tract of land where on I now live containing by estimation six hundred acres also the land I purchased of the heirs of Edward Ker dec'd supposed to contain one hundred & fifty acres commonly called chance purchase also the land devised to me by the will of my father supposed to contain one hundred acres also the privilege that belongs to me under the will of my father all which said lands & privileges on Parramore's island or beach. I give to my said son John C. Parramore the following Negro slaves, Isaac Senr, Isaac Junr, George, Daniel Senr, Daniel Junr, Frank, Joe, Harry, Edmond, Levin, Peter, Stoan, Rachael, Adah, Chloey, Sophy & John. I give to my grand son Thomas Parramore Parker the tract of land I purchased of James Ashby situate in the county of Accomack containing by estimation eighty four acres & adjoining the lands of Smith Stringer, Elijah Ames & Wm Edmunds- also I give to my said grand son two Negroes Sam & Edgar I also give my said grand son five thousand dollars provided nevertheless that if my said grandson should die under the age of twenty one years & without issue, in that event, all the aforesaid property I give to my son John C. Parramore. My will is that all the property before given to my grandson shall remain in the hands of my executor until my said grandson shall arrive at lawful age or marry & that my said executor shall account with & pay annually to the guardian of my said grandson for his education the rents issues & profits of said property from & after the arrival of my said grandson to the age of twelve years. I give to my niece Sally Stran one Negro girl named Leah & the sum of five hundred dollars in cash provided she my said niece makes no claim on my estate for her services rendered in my family since she lived with me. I give to my son in law William A. Parker one Negro by name Jeffrey. Lastly I constitute & appoint my son John Custis Parramore my executor. Signed, Thomas Parramore Senr. Witnesses: M. S.
