- In 1754 Rickards Dunton (wife Anne) left to his son William the land he said he had bought from Esau Jacob (no record). It will be recalled that William Dunton had bought a part of N65 and he otherwise enlarged his holdings. He was succeeded by a son Rickards and after his death in 1821 a survey of his plantation showed a total of 432 1/2 acres in this viciinity.

- In his will Dickey G. Carpenter gave to brother Samuel G. Carpenter my watch and my small gun that I had by Thomas Elliott, deceased, to be kept by his guardian until he shall be fit to take care of them himself. My will and desire is that my mother Lucy Dunton, my brother Samuel G. Carpenter, my sister Elizabeth G. Upshur and Leah F. Carpenter have each a suit of mourning out of my estate and also that Betsey Dunton have a mourning suite with them. I give and bequeath to my half brother John Carpenter Dunton my colt Pandora that Rickards Dunton is to raise to three years old, also my gun that I had of John G. Ames. I give unto my half brother Alexandrew James Galt Dunton my Negro Boy Jacob. I give unto my sister Leah F. Carpenter my one fifth part of four fifths of Negro girl Esther devised by my father's will unto my dearest brother Azel G. Carpenter. I nominate and appoint Arthur B. Upshur my executor. - In his will Rickards Dunton Senr. gave to son William Dunton ten acres of land adjoining the ninety acres that I have given him. I give to my son Matthew H. Dunton. I give to my daughter Ann Turner. I give to my daughter Betsey White. I give to my daughter Ader Matthews. I give to my son Smith S. Dunton. I give and bequeath unto my son John C. Dunton a Negro boy Jacob Morris in lieu of a mare and a gun given him by the will of Dickie G. Carpenter. I give and bequeath unto my two sons John C. Dunton and Alexandrir T. G. Dunton all my lands that may remain after payment of my debts. I give unto my daughter Lucy Matilda Jane Dunton all my slaves not before given. In case either of my said children should die under age and without heirs such child's part to be divided between the survivors and my son Smith G. Dunton. I nominate and appoint my trusty friends Nathaniel Turner and Littleton Upshur Esq. executors. Signed, Rickards Dunton Senr. No witnesses.
