- In a suit in which Mr. Stephen Tankard was plaintiff, Sarah Bayley said she knew William Tankard the eldest son of John Tankard, brother to the present plaintiff, and that Robert, his brother, married her sister. John Brickhouse Sr. testifies that he knew John Tankard, brother to Stephen, and that if now living, he would not be more then 57 years of age. Sarah Bayley further testifies that she together with the rest of William Tankard's friends, was present at the time of his death, and believes it to be about 26 years January 1787 past. Willis Setaston testifies that he well knew Stephen Tankard, the present Clerk of the Court, when a boy, the brother of Robert, William, Azariah and that this deponent says that he believes the said Stephen Tankard to be aged about 51 or 52 years old.

- In her will Anne Brickhouse stated that it is my will and desire that the Negro slaves by me heretofore emancipated by Deed duly recorded in the Court of Northampton should be entitled to all the rights of free people with their future increase & I do hereby direct the same in this will. I give to my brother John Brickhouse Senr. All the rest of my estate as aforesaid I give and devise to my friend Johannes Johnson In trust to be by him disposed of in such manner as he shall think best for the support and interest of such of my black people now liberated. I do appoint the said Johannes Johnson my whole and sole executor. Signed with her mark, Anne Brickhouse. Witnesses: Thos Litt Savage, William Hanby and Jeptha Johnson. Administrator William Savage. Bond $60. Appraisers: John Taylor, James Taylor, Johannes Johnson and James Dalby. No administration records.

- I leave the use of the plantation whereon I now live with the land I purchased of William Bell to my wife during her life and also the following Negroes Daniel, Old Rachel, Luke, Sam, Joe, Old Sarah, Grace & James. I give to my grandson John Brickhouse the plantation whereon I now live and also the land I purchased of William Bell after the death of my wife. In case my wife should die before my said grandson should come to lawful age I then give the use of said land to my son George Brickhouse until that time. I give to my son George Brickhouse my Negroes Joe & Luke after the death of my wife. I give to my grandson John Brickhouse my Negroes Old Daniel & Old Rachel after the death of my wife. To my grand daughter Polly N. Dunton one Negro James & Comfort and child Sarah. To my grand daughter Peggy Brickhouse my Negro Sam, Grace & Old Sarah. To my grand daughter Sally J. Nelson my Negroes Ben, Rachel & child Nelly. To my grandson John Brickhouse my Negro boy Henry. To my grandson George Brickhouse my Negro boy Zadock. I give all the remainder of my land to my son George Brickhouse provided he pay to my grand daughter Peggy Parker's children the sum of eight hundred dollars. I give all the remainder of my estate after the payment of my debts to be equally divided between my wife & son George. I do hereby appoint my loving wife & son George Brickhouse, executors.
