(NOTE: Evidently he was the son of Sebastian's oldest son Peter, who died before his father's estate was probated, making him heir-at-law, being the eldest son of the eldest son.)

  	He was not named in his grandfather's will of 30 Sep 1738, but was shown at probate on 29 Mar 1743 as Ezekiel Delastatius, heir-at-law, who appeared by Samuel Feddiman his guardian. Heir at law of Sebastian Delastatius, Ezekiel Delastatius was cited to appear by his guardian (Samuel Feddiman) and had no objections to the will (exr. Sebastian Delastatius), which was proved by witnesses. Geo. Douglas, William Beavans, Anderson Patterson and William Beavans, Jr., (or three of them) were to appraise the estate.

  	This indenture made 30 March 1768 between Covington Ewell of the parish & county of Accomack and Ezekiel Delastatius, Charles Vannelson, Jacob Broadwater, Bartholomew Taylor of the same place. That Covington Ewell for the sum of 60 pounds current money of Virginia to him in had paid by the Ezekiel, Charles, Jacob & Bartholomew, the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge, hath bargained & sold unto them the following goods & chattels, Viz. 4 beds & furniture, 4 bedsteads, mats & cords, 4 head of cattle, 1 mare & colt, 1 black horn?, 1 hand mill, 2 tables, 2 chests, 6 chairs, 3 dishes, 1 dozen plates, 4 basins, 1 gun, 4 bee hives, 3 head of sheep, 3 ____ ____, 2 grubbing hoes, 3 axes, 1 ___ & sheets, 2 ox chains, 2 ox yokes, 3 ploughs, 2 harrows, 12 cyder casks, 1 pair iron braces, 2 pots, 1 spoon?, 5 stays, 1 case bottles. It is agreed that it shall be lawful for Ezekiel, Chares, Jacob & Bartholomew to take and sell the goods & chattels aforesaid at their pleasure and the money arising therefrom to apply toward the discharge of the debt aforesaid and the overplus if any to return unto the said Covington.   	In 1731 Richard and Judith Lee of Northumberland County sold Mary Lee's half of 850 acres to Sebastian Delastatius. In1732 Delastatius sold 200 acres to Abraham Dickeson, it being the southeast corner of the Lee land. In 1752 Dickeson (wife Rachel) left to his son Michael and in 1771 Michael and Mary Dickeson sold 60 acres to Ezekiel Delastatius.

  	In 1773 Ezekiel Delastatius mortgaged to James Berry 200 acres, which he had said had had bought from his cousin Lemuel (which was not of record). In 1785 Moses Dunn bought as 192 acres at a public auction and in 1805 he, formerly of Drummondtown, but at this date of Spunog, County Donegall, Ireland, deeded to his sons Joseph & James.

  	Ezekiel Delastatius mortgaged the 60 acres he bought from Michael & Mary Dickeson to James Berry, calling the land Logg Town. It was where the road from Chincoteauge meets the main highway. There is no record of a foreclosure of the mortgage, but perhaps it came after the death of Delastatius in 1785, when the land came into the possession of George Corbin.

  	An orphan account presented on this date showed Ezekiel Delastatius had intermarried with the mother & guardian of Stephen, John, Betty & Anne Warrington. Another account presented on 28 Aug 1764 showed these 4 orphans as the children of Abbott Warrington dec'd. Whitelaw shows that in 1772 Ezekiel Delastatius leased land that Nicholas Mellechopp, tanner, left to his granddaughter Elizabeth in 1742, the daughter of a dec'd son John. When Ezekiel leased the land to Edmund Core he stated that he held it in courtsey as having married Elizabeth Warrington, who had inherited it from her father. Whitelaw also shows that Ezekiel sold it as 96 acres to Jabez Pitt in 1787, but he died in 1785.
