  	It was on this date that Arthur Robins was on a headright list, along with another 9 persons, for a certificate that was granted to Mr. Henry Smith for 500 acres for transporting these 10 persons into the colony. According to Whitelaw, this was part of tranct A171, and although a special effort was made with this object in mind nothing was found to connect hime with Colonel Obedience Robins of tract N40.

  	On 18 Mar 1666/7 at a court in Acc Co, VA, a certificate was granted to Arthur Robins for 2,000 acres of land for transporting 40 persons into the colony. On the same day the was also granted 500 acres of land for transporting another 10 persons into the colony. According to Mrs. Turman, when the Acc-N'hamp Co line was surveyed in 1688 his home was in N'hamp while most of the land was in Accomack Co, VA.

  	To my son John Robins (under 18) the 450 acre plantation that Elias Garganus now lives upon, situated as described by the patent, and also 200 acres of the northern part of a 300 acre patent granted to Edward Smith. To my son Arthur Robins (under 18) the remainder of my land in Virginia, England or elsewhere. If either of my said sons die without heirs, then the survovor to pay his lawful sisters, viz, Elizabeth, Sebra, Esther, Scarburgh, Barbary, Margaret and Sarah Robins 15,000 lbs tobacco to be equally divided. To son Arthur pistolls and holsters, bras carbine and sword. To son John the longe gun that belonged to (Capt.) Palmer. If my sons Arthur and John should die underage, these miscellaneous items to return to their mother. Remaining estate to be divided by my loving wife Barbary and my daughters. Wife Extr, and she to have the use of my lands mentioned herein until sons are 18 and then to have her thirds. (Lt. Col.) John Robins, my son Edward Robins, (Capt.) John Custis, and my brother-in-law John Wise to oversee. Witt: Edward Joyns, Edmund Joyns, Susanna Luke, Henry (X) Abraham, Robert Scot. (NOTE: According to Mrs. Turman, his son Edward must have received his part of this father's estate in England. She could not find this Edward Robins in local records.)
