- Robert Nairne, Sr. signed a deed to Robert, Jr. on March 31, 1724 for a portion of "Partners Choice." On November 13, 1724, Janet Watts' father, John, gave the couple 250 acres in Coulbourn District from "Partners Choice," which was resurveyed in 1728 as "Nairns Security." (Ruth T. Dryden, Somerset Land Records, p. 421).
Since both parcels were given to Robert or Robert & Jannet, it appears their fathers gave them these parcels in an attempt to unify the land and is very probably this was the year of their marriage.
