- He was a soldier, 96th District, South Carolina, 1782. His record is on file with the DAR which contains a copy of the original Stubs to Indents, Book X, No. 1118. On 21 Nov 1785 Littleton Mapp was issued for militia duty in 1782 per account audited, a principal of £3.8.6 3/4 and annual interest of £0.4.9.

- To wife Mary Mapp the plantation whereon I now live and land thereto and the following Negroes: James, Jill, Dick, Bristol, Will, Tawny, Jack and Jack whom I purchased from estate of William Mapp dec'd. (NOTE: This was probably his son William Mapp who died Aug 1799 in Hancock Co, GA), Randol, Tom, Ransom, Lucy, Jinny, Big James, Hannah, Violet, Fanny, Lillie, Tamer, Sarah and Doll during her life or widowhood to be used at her discretion also give unto wife $100 and after her death or marriage the above property (money, excepted to be disposed of as follows: ITEM: give to son Jeremiah (list of slave names). Son James Mapp land and plantation whereon I now live and 3 Negroes, Tom, Jac & Doll, one feather bed and furniture, one corner cupboard & furniture, one walnut oval table, six chairs, one chest and looking glass, also saddle & bridle & a foal that my mare Sal is now big with, but should foal not live then the mare to be put to a horse again and raise one for him, but if son James dies without lawful issue, then said plantation is to be given to son Jeremiah and his heirs forever and balance of his portion to be equally divided among sons & daughters. ITEM: Daughter Nancy, 2 Negroes Jack and Sarah, feather bed & furniture also one horse colt known by name of Mark. If she dies without issue the same to be divided among rest of children. Plantation whereon I now live to be kept in good repair until son James arrives to age 21 & that no more land be cleared and my Extrs. do well & truly attend to same. ITEM: Beloved daughter Elizabeth Smith, Negro girl named Fanny ___ her increase to her and her heirs at my death as part of her legacy. ITEM: To daughter Polly Smith, one Negro named Bristol to her and her heirs forever as part of her legacy. ITEM: To daughter Susannah Asten, one Negro girl by name of young Tamer to her and her heirs. ITEM: To daughter Sarah Jackson, one Negro woman named Violet and her income. My will it that the above legacies willed to my daughters named Elizabeth Smith, Polly Smith, Susannah Asten, and Sarah Jackson receive the same ___ my deceased. After death or marriage of wife Mary, Negroes not already willed be equally divided among sons John Mapp, Littleton Mapp & Robert H. Mapp. Also stock among John Mapp, Littleton Mapp and Robert Howson Mapp. Sons to pay daughters Elizabeth Smith, Polly Smith, Susannah Asten and SaraH Jackson. ITEM: Money which I had in possession together with money due me be equally divided among children John Mapp, Littleton Mapp, Robert H. Mapp, Jeremiah Mapp, James Mapp, Elizabeth Smith, Polly Smith, Susannah Asten, Sarah Jackson and Nancy Mapp. Appoint son John and Robert H. full and sole executors. Signed: Littleton Mapp Senr.
