- In his will John Blake gave to adopted grandson John Blake, son of Charles Blake, alias Price, deceased, 200 acres adjcent a tract of land formerly belonging to Capt. John Wallop, now in the possession of Mr. John Kendall, with all the appurtenances belonging & appertaining "to the said 200 acres I to ye said John Blake, son of Mary ye daughter of Charles Ratcklif of Somerset County in Maryland, to him the said John & the heirs of his body lawfully begotten forever" & for want of heirs to my grandaughter Sarah Willson. To my adopted grandson 100 acres on Gingoteage Island. Should the said John Blake attempt to sell or mortgage any of the said 300 acres, then it shall revert to my grandson John Turvil of Somerset County. To daughter Rebecca Willson 150 acres adjcent Capt. Watts. To daughter Arcadia Turvil. To grandau Rachel Scott. Adopted grandson residual legatee, he to be at age at 18. - Ejectment proceedings between Peter Peaceable, plaintiff vs. Thomas Troublesome, defendant, for lands lying in Accomack County, which Dennis Blake devised to the plaintiff, &c. Rebecca Wilson appeared in open Court and entered herself defendant instead of the said Thomas Troublesome, &c. Jury impaneled and returned the following verdict: That the said William Blake, late of Accomack County, dec., was possessed in his life time, in fee simple, in the lands in question, which by his deed duly executed 2 Apr. 1688, conveyed to his son, William Blake for his natural life, with remainder to his heirs, the remainder to John Blake, another son of William Blake, the elder, and the heirs of his body, and the reversion of the fee simple to the heirs of the said William Blake, the elder, at common law. That William Blake, the younger, entered into the lands and was thereof possessed during his life, and died without lawful issue. That after the death of the said William Blake, the younger, the aforesaid John Blake entered into the lands and was thereof possessed during his life. That the said John Blake intermarried with a certain Sarah Ratcliff, by whom he had issue the defendant. That the defendant is the only surviving issue of the said John Blake. That the said John Blake departed this life before the commencement of this action, and that Dennis Blake, the lessor of the plaintiff, is heir at common law to William Blake, the elder. That John Blake, the defendant's father, was married to the defendant's mother, whose maiden name was Sarah Ratcliff, the 5th day of November, 1692, and that the defendant was born of the body of the said Sarah in the life time of the said John Blake. That the said John Blake and Sarah lived together as man and wife until the death of the said Sarah, and that before the commencement of this suit both the said John and Sarah departed this life.

- In his will Joseph Blake gave to son Charles Blake 165 acres where I now live & for want of issue to unborn child & for want of heirs to Rachel Wilson. Jonathan Thornton to have free possession of a parcel of land on Jengoteague Branch where he now lives for 14 years, being 150 acres provided he pay the Quit Rents & plant 150 apple trees, and after the expiration of the said 14 years I give the said land to my unborn child & for want of heirs to my brother in law John Morris. To brother Gilbert Morris. Wife Rebecca & brother Dennis Blake Exrs. Witt: Uriah Collins, William Watts, John Melten. (NOTE: She is assumed to have been his sister Rachel, who was named in their father Joseph's will.)
