- In his will Thomas Chandler gave brother Mitchell Chandler & Sabrain Chandler the schooner "Channing Peggy." To my brother Littleton Chandler ... To nephew Thomas Chandler ... To Mrs. Margaret Harrison ... To my mother Patience Chandler the remainder together with my wages from the 10th of August last ___ money &c. due from the Navy & at her death to my sister Catharine Chandler. Brother Mitchell Chandler & friend Mr. Thomas Wishart Extr. Witt: Thomas Wishart, Benjamin Palmer, James Nichols, James Bennett & James Watkins. Prob: At a Court held for Norfolk County on 21 Oct 1784, the will of Thomas Chandler dec'd was proved by the oaths of James Nichols & James Bennett & ordered to be recorded. The foregoing are copies of a will & of a certificate of heirship on file in the land office of Virginia & the subjoined are copies of an opinion & statement of facts on which that opinion was pronounced as witnessed on 16 May 1831 by William Selden R.S. Office Va. On 30 Jul 1832 a copy of the will of Thomas Chandler dec'd, formerly a Lieutenant in the Virginia State Navy in the Revolutionary War (Certified by the Clerk of Norfolk County) was presented by Thomas M. Bayly & recorded in Accomack County & Thomas M. Bayly became the Admr. with Henry Fletcher & William Parramore Jr. securities.

- In his undated will Mitchel Chandler gave son Mitchel & daughter Milly the use of all my lands whereon I now live and the plantation I bought of the heirs of Clement Parker, deceased, until my daughter Betsey arrives to the age of 20 years to maintain & bring up my 3 yougest children. viz: Patience, Amey & Betsey until they arrive to the age of 20 years, respectively, & I then give the said land to my son Mitchell, he paying the sum of 25 £ to be equally divided amoung the rest of my children. To daughter Rosey. To son Thomas. All my wife's wearing apparel to be divided equally between my 3 youngest children, Patience, Amey & Betsey. - Thomas Chandler, a lieut. in the Virginia Navy at the time of his death, left Mitchel Chandler his eldest brother, Laban Chandler and Littleton Chandler younger brothers and Catharine Chandler his sister then his only heirs at law. The said Littleton Chanlder is now living. Sarah P. Burton, wife of John B. Burton is the only heir at law of the said Catherine Chandler, now dec'd. Mitchell Chandler, Thomas Chandler, Rosey Fitzgerald, Patience Harvey, Amelia Snead, wife of John Snead, Elizabeth U. Chandler and Amey Chandler, are the heirs at law of said Mitchel Chandler. Bagwell Chandler and Mary Chandler are the heirs at law of Laban Chandler who was a son of Laban Chandler dec'd, and Elizabeth, John, Josiah, Tabitha and Euphamia Chandler are the only heirs at law of Elisha Chandler, a son of said Laban Chandler the elder.

- In his will Littleton Chandler gave my Negro women Pleasant & Littia & man Edmund to be free if it be lawful for them to remain free in the State of Virginia, otherwise my will is for them to choose their master or mistress that will take them & they are willing to serve & that choice must be my widow or one of my children so that they remain in the family. If any of my slaves should ever be sold by either of my children or any other person claiming from them, to any person who is not a resident of the County of Accomack, unless such slave shall have committed & been convicted of some felonious offence, the slave so sold shall be immediately free. To daughter Nancy D. Chandler $150 for the use of my son George 's 2 children Sally & Susan (under age 20) for schooling them. To daughter Nancy D. Chandler ... To son William D. Chandler's 3 daughters Susan A., Sarah E. & Margaret Ann, Catharine Chandler $150 or the survivors of them. By the request of my wife Susannah Chandler, I only let her take from my estate what the law of Virginia will give her. Remainder to my children Nancy D. Chandler, John K. - Susan Chandler, widow of Littleton Chandler, states he died 4 July last. She believes he served over two years in the Rev. War, entering the service in 1777. Her husband resided all his life in Accomack Co. He was born March 11, 1761.

- Susan Chandler, widow of Littleton Chandler, resided in Accomack Co and died in the same Co on 22 Apr 1849 leaving children: Nancy Chandler, Margaret E. Chandler and Eliza Chandler. On 28 April 1851 P.F. Brown, admr of Susan Chandler made a declaration in behalf of the children. He stated the records show Littleton Chandler was a private in the companies of Capt. Joynes and Capt. George Oldham, attached to the regiment commanded by Col. Southy Simpson. Susan Chandler and Littleton Chandler married 7 Sept 1778. Littleton Chandler died 4 July 1832.
