- In his will Benjamin Colony gave to son Major Colony land where I now live and 12 pounds cash which he borrowed from me. To son John eight pounds cash or the choice of my horses. To son William Colony one hand mill and half a dozen of mettle spoons. To daughter Susanna Colony one bed and furniture her choice, one rug, two blankets, two sheets, one counterpin, one bed quilt, two pillars and pillar cases and bolster and beadstead her choice, one large iron kettle, one hackle and tow petwer dishes, one bason, half a dozen mettle spoons and half a doze pewter plates and two dozen stone plates and all the rest of the earther ware and glasses that she claims as her own and one walnut desk, two blue chests, half a dozen black chairs and one linning wheel, one black walnut box and the new box iron and heaters. I give Susana one cow that is called her's and all the increased of that cow and one loom and the utencils that belong to it, stays and geers. To grandson Joshua Darby one feather bed, bedstead, mat and cord, one rug, two blankets, & one pair of sheets and bolstar. I give the remaining part of my estate not given to my 4 children Major, William, John & Susana Colony to be equally among them. I appoint sons Major & William Exrs. Witt: Abel West, Upshur Colony, Ann Coloney, Laban Chandler. Signed Benjamin (his X mark) Colony.

- Major Colone and wife Peggy exchanged with Richard Walter, 120 acres "land which I inherited from my father Benjamin Colony, dec'd" and bound north by Currituck Creek and land bought by Argol Kellam from Upshur Colony for 50 acres and 200 pounds specie, land located "in the middle woods bound by Daniel Watson, John Fletcher, John Folio and Henry Fletcher. Major Colony reserved 5 acres of his father's land, next to Edmund Bayly's line. On 27 Aug 1787 Major Colony leased 60 acres for 15 pounds from John Folio "during the natural life of Daniel Watson which said John Folio bought of Daniel Watson for his lifetime," land bounded by land Richard Walter sold said Major Colony. Richard Walter had the Timber Neck land he purchased from Major Colony surveyed on 14 Aug 1787.

- In his will Major Coloney gave to son Benjamin Colonna land whereon I now live containing 50 acres & the land leased of Edward Ker dec'd during the term of lease. To brother William Colonna land lying on the main road to Occohannock containing 41½ acres. To wife Peggy all my property & at the expiration of 10 years to my wife & children. Son Benjamin Colonna Extr. Witt: Shadrack Taylor, John Folio & Levin Biggerby. Probabte - 28 Jan 1811 - Proved by Shadrack Taylor who swore that he saw John Folio & Levin Biggerby sign the will in the presence of the testator. Watson Colonna (Benjamin Colonna the Extr. named relinquishing) became the Admr. with Benjamin Colonna & Jephtha Doughty securities.

- Major Colony and wife Peggy sold 30 acres to John Wilkins for £31.10. This was obviously part of his father's Timer Neck land since it was bound by lands of Walter, by Edmund Bayly and by Arguil Kellam. With this sale, Major Coloney had sold 150 acres of Timber Neck, except for the 5 acres he reserved.
