  	It was in this year that Matthew Floyd bought 40 1/2 acres on the northeast corner of the Joshua Cobb part of tract 126 from Kenall & Palmer Addison. Then in 1793 Matthew Floyd and his wife Sarah sold 25 acres to John N. Harden and in 1796 they sold 7 acres to Littleton Ward to become merged with the rest of his large acreage.

  	It was in this year that Matthew Floyd, who by this time had married Sarah Robins, widow of Joshua Robins, bought 120 acres of tract N95 from the Extr of Joshua Robins. Matthew Floyd then sold the 56 acres at the north end to Kendall Addison. Then in 1810 the Floyds exchanged their home of 56 acres with John Addison for his home place of 20 acres, the latter being the south part of his inherited land from tract N94. The home that the Floyds exchanged was "End View" or N95E which Joshua Robins built some time after his purchase of the land in 1775.

  	On 14 Nov 1796 Wm. Roberts Jr. was the security on the M.L.B. of John Carpenter and Adah Floyd. Mathew Floyd gave consent. (NOTE: It is not clear why Adah needed consent, since she was named in her father's will in 1771 and would have been at least age 25 at the time of her marriage. Maybe this is a different Adah Floyd.)

  	The Franktown United Methodist Church is the direct descendant of the Floyd's society, which was meeting in private homes in the Hadlock-Hare Valley area by 1795. Benjamin Floyd was the first leader of this society, which is said to have met at times in the parlor of the home "Fruitlands" in Hare Valley. Not long after 1800 they erected a meetinghouse in Hare Valley and named it Floyd's Meetinghouse. Leadership fell to Matthew Floyd, son of Benjamin(?), and when he moved to Accomack County, the old meetinghouse was abandoned.
