When Abel West's estate was settled in 1816 Charlotte Bayly acknowledged receipt of $2,161.25 in property from her uncle Abel West's estate and on 7 Jun 1821 she received another $4,226.05 in full for the balance of the estate of Abel West dec'd. (Note: He must have been her great uncle as it would have been his sister, who married a Rowles, that was the mother of Elizabeth Rowles in Abel father's will of 1772 and was Charlotte's mother Elizabeth Bayly.)
