  	On 2 Jun 1703 in Acc Co Court, Mrs. Elizabeth Parker, widow of William Parker, complained that George Parker Sr., had in his custody Scarburgh Parker, the daughter of William and Elizabeth. Scarburgh's father had left her with George Parker, who now refused to deliver the child to her mother without an order of the court. Since George Parker was not present, it was ordered that the sheriff summon him to the next court. Later that same day, Mrs. Elizabeth Parker, widow of recently deceased William Parker, petitioned that William who had "departed this life in ye Province of Maryland," had left a small extate there. Elizabeth had only a few items in her possession, an inventory of which the court ordered to be recorded: a bed, bolster, rug and blanket; a pewter tumbler and a small "gold hoop ring." The list was signed on 2 Jun 1703, by Elizabeth Parker alias Scarburgh. A copy of Elizabeth's written petition followed; in it she promised payment to anyone with a just claim against the estate, "being wholly desirous to relinquish all manner of claim to any part or parcel of the said Parker's estate.
