- That a certain John Boggs late of this county departed this life intestate on the ____ day of July 1822, seized in fee simple of a tract of land situate in Slutkiln Neck containing 140 acres, slaves &c., and also left the following children and grandchildren to whom the said land descended subject to the dower of Peggy Boggs, the widow of the said John Boggs, viz: your orators Elijah & James Boggs & your oratrixes Rachel, now the wife of William Rodgers & Catharine Moore, who are the only surviving children of the said John Boggs, and your oratrix Elizabeth Custis, wife of William Custis, who is the only child of William Boggs, dec., who was a son of the said John Boggs, and your oratrixes Nancy Northam, wife of Custis Northam, Peggy Parker, wife of John Parker & William, Mary, Jane, Elizabeth, Lucy & Henry Boggs, all of whom are children of Arthur Boggs, dec., who was a son of the said John Boggs &c.
