  	Ordered that William Tailer, Jr., be summoned to the next court to answer "for entertaining a stranger coming into this county, contrary to law." This information was obtained from Guslin Vennettson's wife, who had been summoned to answer for nursing a base child that was "acknowledged to be named Peregrin Johnson and born of the body of Rhodia Fawset." Since William Tayler, by entertaining Rodia Fawset, had caused "much trouble and charge to the parish," he was ordered to answer the objections against him. It was further ordered that the sheriff summon Guslin Ventetson's wife and Elizebeth Ratclif (widow) as witnesses.

  	William Taylor, Jr. was summoned to this court to answer for what was objected against him by the parish, as were the wife of Guslin Venetson and Elizabeth Ratcliff, who were summoned as witnesses. Ordered that the sheriff take Tayler into custody till he posted security for his appearance at the next court, and that security also be taken from the witnesses for their appearance. Tayler was to pay court charges.

  	Since he had not appeared at a former court, William Tayler, Jr., had been taken into the sheriff’s custody to give security for his appearance at this court to answer for entertaining Rodia Fawset contrary to law. An inhabitant of Maryland, Rodia gave birth to a bastard child at the house of Tayler, who now acknowledged it. Ordered that he give security for his good behavior. The court accepted William Stockley as Tayler’s security; they were jointly bound in the sum of 5000 lbs tobacco.

  	William Taylor left the southern 450 acres of this tract, called Queen Hive plantation, to his son Elias, and the balance between that and the Kennet land to his son William. In 1703 William Taylor II sold his 400 acres to his brother Elias. In 1711 Elias & Ann Taylor sold 3 acres to Charles Vanelson, this little poece being in the angle at the north corner of the tract, and it became merged with other lands bought by Vanelson from adjacent tracts.

  	It was on this date that William Taylor's estate was administered to Bridget Taylor, widow of said William. William Parker & Elias Taylor securities. Upon the motion of Bridget Taylor (widow of William Taylor), it was ordered that Nicholas Millechop, John Watts, Thomas Perry, Joseph Stockley, George Hope (or any four of them) be sworn to inventory and appraise Taylor's estate before the next court.

  	It was on this date that administration on the estate of William & Bridget Taylor his wife was granted to Elias Taylor, brother of the said William, for the use of their 6 children with Timothy Coe & Samuel Taylor securities.

  	At the last court it was ordered that the sheriff take Mr. John Custis into custody till he posted security to swear at this court to an account of the estate of William Taylor, deceased. The sheriff (Capt. Thomas Welburne) had returned an endorsed copy of the order, declaring that he had summoned Custis to this court to answer, with Capt. Henry Custis assuming to be security. Mr. Tully Robinson (attorney for Elias Taylor), objected to this, saying that the sheriff should have taken security from Custis himself. Since the sheriff had failed to perform according to the order, the case was continued to the next court. Welburne was ordered to perform the contents of the order or be answerable for damages.
