  	Deposition of Rhode Fawssett aged about 30 years, 11 September 1674: At last April's court she heard Mrs. Tabitha Browne ask Mathew Shippe if her cart wheels were ready, and he said they were. Mrs. Browne said, "Are they good?" He said they were, and that he would warrant "the goodness of them." When Mrs. Browne asked what she should give for them, he replied, "My best wheels I sell for 500 pounds of tobacco and my ordinary wheels for 450 pounds of tobacco." Signed, Rody (S) Fawssett.

  	The church warden had complained against Mrs. Rodea Fawset and John Cropper (attorneys: Mr. White, Charls. Holden and Mr. Tankard) for fornication, but they failed to appear at court as summoned. It was ordered that the high-sheriff of deputy "bring the bodies of the said Rhodea Fauset & John Cropper personally to appear" at court on 17 April 1675.

  	It appeared to the court, on the oath of Mary Wells, that "John Cropper and Rody Fawset do indecently accompany together." Ordered that Rhody Fauset be kept in the sheriff's custody till giving a bond for her good behavior and for not unlawfully accompanying Cropper. Deposition of Mary Wells aged about 20 years: "I have often seen John Cropper and Rodea Fauset lie together in naked bed, and further that I have often seen her go to bed to John Cropper and John Cropper likewise with her." Signed before Jno. Washbourne 17 April 1675, Mary (+ and half circle) Wells.

  	John Cropper continued a relationship with Rhoda Fassett as evidenced by him appointing her Extr of his will in 1686. Both had immigrated to Somerset County from Accomack County by circa 1680. Wright suggests that Rhoda was perhaps the mother of all his children except Sebastian, who is recorded in a deed as the only legitimate child of John Cropper.

To Thomas Morris 200 acre part of tract "Hogsnorton" and 100 acre residue of tract "Linneeth" aforesaid. To son John John 700 acre part of tract "Rixsome." To son Ebenezer 500 acre residue of tract "Rixsome" he to be of age at 18 years. In event of death of either aforesaid sons, survivor to inherit deceased's portion. To son Edmond 500 acre part of tract "Lady's Delight" on Indian R., Sussex Co, Va(sic). To son Nathaniel Cropper 500 acre residue of tract "Lady's Delight.". To daughter Eliza: Cropper 300 acre tract "Indian Landing" adjoining Harford Town on Pocomoke R., Somerset Co. To daughter Sarah Cropper 150 acre tract "Furbridge" on Pocomoke R. To Rhoda Fossett, Extr and 250 acre tract "Golden Value." To child of wife Garthwright Cropper, not already mentioned in will, personalty. Overseers: Jas. Round & Chas. Ratcliffe. Witt: Jno. Cole, Jno Vigerous, Thos. Brombey, Thos. Osbourne & Wm. Fosit. (NOTE: In addition to the above Skinner also shows that he gave Thomas Osbourne tract "Bartlett's Adventure" and also gave his sons John & Ebenezar tract "Hogg Quarter.")
