  	In his will John Mercy gave to son William Mercy & to his eldest surviving son the manor plantation where I now live, being 100 acres devised to me by my father, & 10 acres adjcent the said land, being part of the land purchased of Joseph Gouty. Wife to have her thirds in the manor plantation or that at the Indian River as she chooses. To son Thomas Mercy the remaining part of the land purchased of Joseph Gouty, being 90 acres, reversion to his eldest surviving son. To sons William & Thomas 100 acres lying in the swamp which I purchased of Thomas Layfield, & then to their eldest sons. To sons John & Adkins Mercy plantation on the seaside in Somerset County at the head of the Sound, and at their deaths to their eldest surviving sons.
