  	He was shown as grandson John Glasby (under age) in the will of Arnold Morgan, wife Mary. He and his under age brother William Glasby were to live with Arnold's wife Mary.

  	It was in this year that Arnold (wife Mary) left his home place to a grandson Jon Glasby, and the plantation he had bought from Joseph Smith to another grandson William Glasby; the Smith-Morgan deed was not found, and the latter piece has not been definitely identified. As time went on, the name Glasby, sometimes spelled Glaspy or Glaspie, gradually became Gillespie, with an accent on the first syllable. While the land was not traced further, descendants of John Glasby kept adding to their holdings until only a few years when a survey showed that a Gillespie owned over 350 acres in this immediate vicinity, and there are people of that name still living on a part of the land.
