- In her will Ann Howkins, widow, gave to Richard Smyth for his payne in my sickness my flockbedd and a pillow. To Thomas Stratton my plantation for four years betwixt the said Smyth and Stratton. To Francis Harvey the debt that Mr. Scarborough owes. To my godchild Elizabeth West one cow calf. To my godchild John Russell one cow calf. To Goodman Harlowe two barrels of corne, and a carpet to Charles Russell. To Margery Williams the wife of Henry Williams my stuffe gown and braner hatt. To Mary Buckland. - It was by this date that Henry Bagwell had married Alice (-----) Stratton Chilcott, widow of Benjamin Stratton and widow of (-----) Chilcott. On that day she petitioned for and received from the Accawmack County court 200 acres due for her own transportation and for that of her son Thomas Stratton and two servants John Walthum and John Crowder. At the same court she disposed of this land by deeding 100 acres each to Thomas Stratton and to a daughter Mary Chilcott.
