  	In 1757 Esther Savage sold 245 aces of tract N12 to Thomas Bell. This land was west of the Moore land and extended westward along the south side of the Capeville Crossroad. In 1772 Bell left his 'lower plantation' to son Robert. In 1795 after the intestate death of Robert Bell a survey showed 275 acres and the house with 43 acres went to a daughter Betsey who later married Severn E. Nottingham. (NOTE: Whitelaw did not mention the other 232 acres, which evidently went to other children.)
