  	On 10 Jan 1627 George Travellor (Traveller) of Accomack was identified as one of Captain John Martin's servants. George was given the choice of paying Martin for a year's service or continuing to live on Martin's land as a tenant. Although it is uncertain what decision George Travellor made, sometime after 14 Mar 1628, he came into possession of a 50-acre leasehold on Old Plantation Creek, which he assigned to another man on 20 Oct 1634. On 18 Jun 1636 when Travellor patented 500 acres on the creek, he used his own headright and that of his wife Alice. The Travellor couple made their home on the property and continued to live in Accomack.

  	The deposition of John Seaverne, Chirurgion, had and taken in open court, saith that Liveing Denwood being at his house they being at prayers, said unto Seaverne, country man, how long have you learned this of my neighbor Traviler, and concerning that the said Traviler was a hypocrite, the said Denwood delivered some words to that purpose. The deposition of John Pott had and taken in open court, saith that Liveing Denwood being at his brothers (meaning brother-in-law) Mr. John Seavernes house all night, the said Seaverne went to prayers and the said Denwood asked him if he had learned to pray of this neighbor Travile. It was so ordered by the court that Liveing Denwood shall ask George Traviler forgiveness in open court for some scandalous words which he the said Denwood have raised upon the said Traveler and he is to pay 5 shillings which is to be disposed of by the Vestry and to pay all charges of court.

My said dau. to take the council of her mother in her match. My friends Argoll Yardley, Esq., John Rosier, clerk, (Capt.) Francis Yardley, and John Seaverne to act as overseers. Witt: John Rosier, William Roper. (Note: An inventory names his orphans as Elizabeth Travellor, George Travellor and Elizabeth Bibly.)
