  	Whereas Major Taylor and Elizabeth his wife did by deed dated 7 Oct 1823, in order to secure the payment of $27.42 to Custis Lewis, conveyed to Custis Lewis a certain tract of land in Accomack County containing by survey then recently made, 2 acres bounded on the South West & North West by the lands of William Riley and on the North East & South East by the lands of John D. Parks. On 20 Oct 1823 the said Custis Lewis by endorsement assigned to the said John D. Parks, and now Major Taylor has fully paid to John D. Parks the said $27.42 with interest and the costs of writing and recording, which John D. Parks hereby acknowledges. And for the further consideration of $1 paid to him by Major Taylor & Elizabeth his wife, John D. Parks hereby confirms the release of any interest he has in the land to Major Taylor and Elizabeth his wife. Witt: J. Warner, Wm. Riley & Crippen Wessells. Signed: Jno. D. Parks. At a Court held in Accomack County on 25 January 1830 this deed was partly proved by the oaths of Jacob Warner & William Riley. At a Court held on 31 May 1830 this deed was acknowledged by Jno. D. Parks and ordered to be recorded.
