  	It was on this date that upon the petition of (Capt.) Francis Pigot, since it appears to the court that Mary (the dec'd) his late wife (formerly the wife of Mr. John Michael, Sr., dec'd), on her deathbed bequeathed and gave her child which she had by her said husband Michael named Yardley Michael to Mr. John Luke and his wife Anne for his care and tuition with his whole estate, it is so ordered. Whitelaw shows Mary, the widow of John Culpeper (died 1674) and widow of John Michael Sr (died 1679), married Frances Pigot by whom she also had issue, but by 1683 she was dead and John and Ann Luke had formally assumed the care of her young son Yardley Michael.
