  	"John Trytitle," lessee of Joanna Lewis and John Chandler (guardian of Zorrobabel Chandler), sued "Hugh Hold Title" for land in St George Parish. Undersheriff Charles Snead swore he notified tenants Isaac Lewis and Rachel Chandler, who both failed to appear. Unless someone made himself defendants, the plaintiff would be awarded possession.

  	That Thomas Taylor, dec., by his last will and testament dated 8 Sept. 1702, devised the lands in question as follows: To my son David Taylor the plantation where I now live, being 100 acres, reversion to Thomas Taylor & heirs, reversion to the next children. To daughter Mary Taylor. Unborn child. To Peter Turlington the younger. To Jonathan James. Wife & children residuary legatees. That the said Thomas at the time of his death left two sons, David & Thomas Taylor and four daughters, Mary, Joanna, Anne & Sarah, but Joanna, Anne & Sarah were not born at the making & publishing of said will, but that Joanna was in the womb at that time. That Thomas died in the lifetime of the said David without issue, and that David also died without issue and left Joanna the now defendant the only surviving sister at the time of his death; That the lessor of the plaintiff, William Chandler, is the heir at law to Anne, and that Caleb Niblet is the son of Sarah, and that David Taylor was possessed of the said lands by virtue of the said devise till about two years last past when he died in North Carolina, &c.

  	Johannah Lewis, widow, sold 25 acres of land to John Chandler for 10 pounds current money, it being part of a greater tract containing 100 acres, being at the head of Burton's Branch, which land Thomas Taylor gave to his son David Taylor by his last will & testament, the said David leaving no issue the said land hereby granted is thereby become vested in the said Johannah in fee simple, being one of the daughters of the said Thomas Taylor. The land is bounded on the South West side of Joseph Custis' Mill Dam and along the lands of Caleb Chandler's to the lands of Zorobabel Chandler and along the land of Cengamyas(?)
