  Biography	Robert Offley was a Turkey merchant of London and a member of the Virginia Company, 1609, and adventured £112.10.0 in 1618/9. He was named Deputy to the General Court, 22 May 1622, by King James I, who later expressed disappointment and displeasure with the Virginia Company for not electing even one of his nominees for any office in that body (Adventurers of Purse and Person, pp. 458-459).
