  	In 1646 Elizabeth Baily made a deposition in which she said she formerly had been the wife of Henry Weede, and at the same court Pendenden testified that Weede had died two years before and had left his estate, verbally, to his widow. At the time of the depositions, Elizabeth was the wife of Richard Bayly and they soon moved to his new land at A18 (south side of Craddock Creek).

  	On 26 Dec 1646 he was shown as Henry Pedenden who sayth that about June last, two years ago, Henry Weed lying sick near his end, the wife of Weed came to this deponent and desired him to go unto her husband, when I came unto him his wife demanded of him, saying, husband in your last will you made you aftward burned, you gave a yearling heifer unto Jonathan Gills child; are you willing that he should have it; he replied I shall leave you a very poor woman; yet I would very fayne give the child something; she replied give him what you please & let him have the calf which came of the cow called Moll. The woman answering she was content; and replying that I have heard you speake formerly of giving some things to a sister which you had in England; Weed replyed my estate is much weakened by reason of my sickness that I could not doe all I would; and when asked how he would dispose of the remainder of his estate he answered I will give it all unto the desiring of the deponent who was to be witness thereunto.
