Francis Pott was received unton the commission for Northampton County, and to be of the quorum where upon he was accordingly sworn for the execution of the place and office of a commission. The second action was like the first adding Lt. Tho. Hunt to the commission for Northampton County

  	I, Col. Nath'll Littleton Esq. have given as a free gift unto my loving daughtger Heaster Littleton these goods following (viz): 5 young cows, marked with L on the right or futher buttock, 2 ewe sheep, one is English & the other Dutch, and 1 young bay mare, with a white streak down her face. All these goods (with their increase) is to be carefully kept and looked unto (as my own) and are with the increase, to be delivered to my said daughter at the day of her marriage (or when she shall attain to the age of 18 years), which shall honest happen to be accomplished, (she performing such duties to her mother as is expressed in my last will and testement bearing date 12 April 1654) and I do here by desire my loving friend Capt. Francis Pott to see the increase of the said cattle, sheep, and mare to be marked with a swallow tail, on the right ear (and set apart for her) empowering him here by to be an officer in turst for her. In witness of the truth I have here unto set my hand and seal this 4 September 1654, signed Nath. Littleton. Witt: Edw. Littleton & Dan'll Baker. On the the fourth day of September 1654, this deed of gift was presented (in open court) and acknowledged by the worthy Col. Nathaniel Littleton Esq. to be his voluntary act and desired the same might be recorded. Recorded "sexto" (16?) September 1654.

  	Mrs. Ann Littleton, widow (late wife of Col. Nath'll Littleton Esqr) made complaint against her servant Christian, wife of Thomas Bellocke, not only by the declaration of Mrs. Littleton, but also by sufficient testimony and attestations of Robert Blacke, Mr. Dan'll Baker, Joane wife of Nicholas Barnard & Margaret wife of Jno Allen, whereby it appears that said Christian Bellocke hath (in a most opprobrious scandalous manner) vilified, abused and many time condemned Mrs. Littleton & continues in the incorrigible practice (without hopes of reformation . . . ). It is therefore ordered that Christian Bellocke shall receive (upon her naked shoulders 30 lashes well applied). She shall also have a gage put in her mouth to restrain her from her railing language until her words & actions shall express her good behavior towards Mrs. Littleton or she be disposed of in some other place. Recorded 12 February 1654/55.
