- HAMPTON - Virginia L. Barnes, 95, died Friday, Dec. 2, in Riverside Regional Medical Center. She was born in Crisfield, Md., and had been a Peninsula resident for 32 years. She was a member of the Crisfield United Methodist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Alma B. Ilich of Hampton; seven grandchildren; nine; great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Peninsula Funeral Home by Dr. William Russ. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Liberty Cemetery, Parksley. The family will friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at the funeral home.
