- Rehoboth - Herman R. Phillips died yesterday at Beebe Hospital at Lewes. A former resident of Milford, Mr. Phillips lived at Rehoboth Beach for the past seven years. He was President of H. R. Phillips, Inc., distributor of petroleum products. He was a member of Temple Lodge No 170, AF & AM, in Mardela, MD; life member of Chesapeake Chapter No 17, Royal Arch Masons, Salisbury, MD and member of Thomas J. Shyrock Commandery No 11, Salisbury. He also belonged to Boumi Temple of the Mystic Shrine, Baltimore and advisory board of the Milford branch of Wilmington Trust Co. Surviving are widow Mrs. Ida Scott Phillips, daughter Mrs. Marshall Wilson Jones, and three sisters: Miss Lillian D. Phillips, Mrs. Elva Adkins and Mrs. Oliver J. Wheatley; and two grandchildren.
