He was a native of Princess Anne and member of Manokin Presbyterian Church. He was a veteran of WWI and graduate of University of Maryland, class of 1922. He is survived by his wife Lucille, son Joseph G. Scott, Jr, 2 grandchildren, brother William Marshall Scott of Princess Anne and sister Mrs. Herman R. Phillips of Rehoboth Beach.
