Land on Bakers Branch in the Parish & County of Accomack, bounded on east by Wallops Road and on the southern side of said Branch, laid out for one acre. Exact bearings & distances were given. Whitelaw shows this became the second MIDDLE CHURCH. It was located immediately behind the present Woodbury Methodist Church.

To grandson Henry Riley, son of Thomas Riley, deceased 6 £ current money. My 4 daughter now living, viz: Elizabeth Parker, Leah Dickerson, Susanna Riley & Euphamia Finny and the 5 younger children of my deceased daughter Ann Riley, residual legatees. Son Thomas Fletcher & son in law John Riley Parker Exrs. Witt: Spencer Drummond, Thomas Evans. Full version of the will of Henry Fletcher: In the name of God Amen I Henry Fletcher Senn of the County of Accomack in the Commonwealth of Virginia being weak of Body but of perfect sence & memory as to mind Thanks be to God for the same do make and ordain this to be the last Will and testament concerning all my worldly affairs.Imprimises I give and devise to my eldest son Thos. Fletcher & his heirs forever the Tract of Land whereon I now dwell at Massongoes reputed to contain six hundred acres be the same more or lest: also one Negroe Man named Issac & one black walnut Desk & the sum of Twelve pounds in Speice according to the currency of this state. Item I give and devise to my son Henry Fletcher and his heirs forever the whole of the Tract of Land whereon he now lives, containing about four hundred & fifty acres, be the same more or less, & consisting of the purchases, which I heretofore made of John Morgan, Thomas Fisher, William Johnson and George Trader.I also give to my said son Henry Fletcher one negro slave named Chabard now in the possession of my said son, also my Brandy Still & worm, and the sum of Thirty pounds, & also the money due from William Johnson to me chiefly for Rents. Item I give and devise all the Residue of my estate Real and Personal to be equally divided amongst my four daughters now living to Witt. Elizabeth Parker, Leah Dickerson, Susanna Riley and Euphamia Finney, and the five younger children of my deceased Daughter Anne Riley, the said children take one fifth part in the place of their said deceased mother and the heirs of my said four Daughters and Five grand children respectively according to the division aforesaid It is however my Will and meaning that such sums as my said four Daughters of their Husbands Respectively are or shall be indebted to me according to my accounts, which I shall leave, Shall be brought into account in my estate, & the amount in each case shall be deducted from their shares respectively, so that every share may be fairly equal. Lastly I constitute and appoint my sons Thomas Fletcher & my son in law John Riley Parker Executors of this my Last Will and Testament and whereas it may be the wish of my four daughters aforesaid & Their Husbands respectively to dispose of by sale such lands as are included in the Residuary clause of my Will as above expressed & an embarrassment of injury may arrive in such sale, or sales, by reason of the titles of the five infant children of my deceased daughter Anne Riley in the same, for the prevention whereof I do hereby give to my son Thomas Fletcher as Trustee of the five said children of my deceased Daughter Anne Riley full Power and authority on their behalf to join in a sale or sales of the said Land with my four daughters now living and their husbands respectively and the same to alinate in fee simple absolute, so however that my said Son Thomas receive to the use of the said five children of my said deceased daughters the one fifth of the money arising upon the said sales or sales.In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand & Seal this twenty seventh day of September in the year of Our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred & ninety four. Witt: Spencer Drummond and Thomas Evans. At a Court held for Accomack County April 29th. 1799 The said Last Will and Testament of Henry Fletcher decd. was proved by the Oath of Thomas Evans the surviving Witness who also declared that he saw Spencer Drummond the other Witness since deceased also sign the same which is adjudged sufficiently proved and ordered to be recorded and on the motion of Jno. R. Parker and Thomas Fletcher taking Oath and giving John Burton William Silverthorn, Elijah Grinnalds & William Gibb for security who entered into and acknowledged a Bond for the Purpose Certificate is granted them for obtaining a Probate in due form.
