  	Elizabeth, the wife of Dr. John Pott, came to Virginia on the George in 1620 and on February 16, 1624, lived in urban Jamestown in a household her husband headed. On January 24, 1625, the Pott household included John, Elizabeth, and four servants. Mrs. Elizabeth Pott testified before the General Court in May 1625 and October 1627. On one occasion she said that she had given a hog to her servants to dine on, and on another, she said that she allowed Allen Kineston to hire her servant, Stephen Tailor, and that Kineston returned him for medical treatment after he became lame. On December 24, 1627, Mrs. Pott said that she had provided timber and boards to boat-builder William Bennett so that he could construct a vessel for her husband. The Potts apparently were friends of Jamestown merchant Thomas Warnett, who named them in his will. Around 1630, when Dr. John Pott was accused of stealing cattle, Elizabeth went to England to assert his innocence. On July 15, 1631, she was among the Virginia planters asking for relief from the customs duties imposed on imported tobacco.
