To my son John n. girls Zell and Joanna and n. boy Racakey about 3 or 4 months old, and 25 gallon brass kettle. To my four grandchildren Bridget, Katharina, William and Peleg Westerhouse 10s each. To my grandchildren Amy and Benjamin Dolby (Upshur's children) 10s each. Resid. legatees my sons Upshur, Esau, Isaac and John. Sons Esau and Isaac extrs. - In his will William Westerhouse gave to wife Leah horse "Buck," Negro woman Sarah "which I had with her" (i.e., Negro woman Sarah which I now own by right of my wife), and the use of Negro man Teach. To son William my plantation whereon I now live, Negro woman Quill, Negro Anes, and silver shoe buckles. To son Pelegg Negroes Ben, Tamar (now at Howsen Mapp's), and Sarah and £50. To daughter Catherine Glanville Negroes Jane, Dilly, Pegg and her child Dilly. Son-in-law Edmund Glanville to pay the doctor his charge for cutting off and curing Negro Pegg's legg. Negro man James to be sold. Residual Legate son William. Wife and Abraham Jacob extrs. Witt: Azel Benthall, John Luke Jr., John Dolby & Elizabeth (X) Mapp. He signed his will William (W) Westerhouse, his "W" mark. At probate the widow renounced her legacies.
