- In her will Anne Brickhouse stated that it is my will and desire that the Negro slaves by me heretofore emancipated by Deed duly recorded in the Court of Northampton should be entitled to all the rights of free people with their future increase & I do hereby direct the same in this will. I give to my brother John Brickhouse Senr. All the rest of my estate as aforesaid I give and devise to my friend Johannes Johnson In trust to be by him disposed of in such manner as he shall think best for the support and interest of such of my black people now liberated. I do appoint the said Johannes Johnson my whole and sole executor. Signed with her mark, Anne Brickhouse. Witnesses: Thos Litt Savage, William Hanby and Jeptha Johnson. Administrator William Savage. Bond $60. Appraisers: John Taylor, James Taylor, Johannes Johnson and James Dalby. No administration records.
