In the Name of God, Amen I George Brickhouse Senr of the County of Northampton being sick and weak of body but of sound mind and memory blessed be God for the same do make and ordain this to be my last will and testament in manner and form following.
Item. I leave the use of the land which I leased of Littleton Kendall to my sister Ann Brickhouse during her natural life also the stock of every kind & plantation utensils that are now on the plantation and it is my desire that my sister shall not be accountable for any deficiency that may happen. Item. I give all my household furniture to my sister Ann & her heirs forever. I also give all my Negroes to my sister Ann & her heirs. I leave the use of my land & the stock & what other property that are on my plantation on Hog Island to my sister Anne during her natural life and she is to have liberty of selling cedar off the land if she thinks proper for her own use. Item. I give my land on hog Island to my nephew Kendall Joyne after my sister Ann’s death to him and his heirs forever. Item. I give the land that I leased of Littleton Kendall after my sister Ann’s death to George Brickhouse, son of my nephew George Brickhouse to him & his heirs. Item. I give to my nephew Kendall Joyne the following on Hog Island after my sister Ann’s death; one copper kettle, two salt pans & what stock is on the Island to him & his heirs. Lastly, I do hereby appoint my nephew George Brickhouse to be my whole and sole executor hereby revoking all other wills ever made by me. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal this 15th day of February 1796.
