• Notes

  Married: An orphan account presented on this date showed Ezekiel Delastatius had intermarried with the mother & guardian of Stephen, John, Betty & Anne Warrington. Another account presented on 28 Aug 1764 showed these 4 orphans as the children of Abbott Warrington dec'd. Whitelaw shows that in 1772 Ezekiel Delastatius leased land that Nicholas Mellechopp, tanner, left to his granddaughter Elizabeth in 1742, the daughter of a dec'd son John. When Ezekiel leased the land to Edmund Core he stated that he held it in courtsey as having married Elizabeth Warrington, who had inherited it from her father. Whitelaw also shows that Ezekiel sold it as 96 acres to Jabez Pitt in 1787, but he died in 1785.
