While at Daniell Makare's, she also reported that Robert Huit (Pitman's master) and Pitman had stolen thirteen or fourteen hogs. Northing more was found on record about Major, and in 1713 John Read of Somerset County sold it all to James Maccome, who died intestate in 1718, his estate being administered to his mother Elizabeth Hinman, but the next year it was readministered to Samuel Justice. In 1723 the will of Elizabeth Hinman, widow of Richard, mentioned a grandson John Maccome who may have been the heir-at-law of James.)9,10,6 |

Surviving are four children, Kenneth and Bobby Marshall, Lillian Holland and Betty Nelson, all of Crisfield; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 15th in the Bradshaw and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Berry McCready officiating. Interment was in the Crisfield Cemetery. Contributions may be made in the memory of the deceased to the memorial fund of the First Baptist Church, in care of Ronnie Mrohs, Cullen Parkway, Crisfield, Md. 21817. Born in Accomac County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Tony and Lillian Russell Middleton, and the wife of Mr. Wells Marshall, who survives. Mrs. Marshall was very active in civic, church and social affairs. She was President of the Womans Civic Club, a member of the First Baptist Church and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Probably her outstanding endeavors were her work with the Civic Club, to which she devoted much of her time and energy, and its accomplishments under her leadership have been outstanding and valuable to the community. She was a faithful and able church worker, also, and was a woman of poise and natural leadership. Respected and admired for the devotion she displayed in all her undertakings, for the common good, she had a large circle of friends and acquaintances who mourn her passing. Funeral services were held at 3:00 p m Sunday in the First Baptist Church here, and the many beautiful floral pieces displayed in her memory attested to the high regard in which she was held. The pastor of the church, Dr. R. N. Dutton, officiated at the funeral. Burial was in the Crisfield Cemetery, the beautification and care of which had been one of the great goals in her busy life. Surviving her are her husband, Mr. Wells Marshall; two sons, Kenneth and Bobby Marshall; two daughters, Mrs. John S. Holland and Mrs. Thurston Nelson; a brother, Mr. Avery Middleton; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Steve devoted his life to service to others. He was a leader, pillar of his community, and a public servant.
